If you don't have solar panels on your roof but would love to make a difference, why not switch your energy provider. Check out The Green Electricity Guide by Greenpeace and the Total Environment Centre: http://www.greenpeace.org/australia/en/what-we-do/climate/The-Green-Electricity-Guide/ Sign the Petition: Don't Pull the Plug on Solar! Tell your dirty energy provider to support the Renewable Energy Target (RET) by signing the petition by Greenpeace here: https://www.greenpeace.org.au/action/?cid=71 The Renewable Energy Target (RET) scheme which consists of large-scale and small-scale schemes, is aimed at increasing renewable energy generation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the electricity sector. It is designed to deliver the equivalent of 20 per cent of Australia's electricity from renewable sources by 2020. The RET is under threat from the current Federal Government who are at present reviewing the RET in their RET Review - another unnecessary legislative review by the Government. Tell our Prime Minister to protect the Renewable Energy Target (RET) by signing the petition by Solar Citizens: http://www.solarcitizens.org.au/protecttheret Contact Ludwig LawyersIf you would like to find out more, please contact Ludwig Lawyers on 0410 583 550 or by email on info@ludwiglawyers.com.

Good news! The National Business Names Register has gone live today, 28 May 2012. If your new business is trading nationally, it is no longer necessary to apply for a business name in each State and Territory - reducing your costs and inconvenience. You can access the National Business Names Register anywhere and anytime - simply visit ASIC Connect, ASIC’s online portal. The registration fee of your business name is only $30 for one year or $70 for three years. What does this mean for your business if, for example, you already have a registered business in New South Wales? Your business name has been automatically transferred to the National Business Name Register. Please remember that a business name does not automatically protect your intellectual property, such as your brand.
